From early stages our management team worked closely with the client to design a solution that would allow for the installation of a DN150 clay jacking pipe for foul water connection and a DA650 GRP Hobas jacking pipe for a surface water drainage— all from a single square cofferdam pit. This innovative approach not only minimized the on-site footprint of our operations but also reduced additional temporary works costs.
This installation now supports a key component of a new housing development along the main A road linking Sheffield to Huddersfield, enhancing connectivity between these two important sites while also facilitating a large soakaway for flood alleviation.
By choosing the trenchless methods apposed to open cut, we were able to complete this work without causing disruption to the surrounding area or major roads, ensuring smooth traffic flow between the city and local towns. ✨
